Notes: A piece making use of legato and spiccato violin bowing techniques, in two movements: (1) A theme that is repeated verbatim; (2) variations on a theme.

Notes: Nyads, the beautiful nymphs of Greek mythology, who live in and preside over brooks, springs, and fountains.

Instruments: Two solo soprano singers, grand harp, lever harp, taiko drum, marimba and glass harmonica.
Notes: A piece that plays with time extensions and symmetry. The bar changes (viz. changes in rhythm) are 2 bars, 4 bars, 8 bars, 16 bars, 8 bars, 8 bars, 4 bars, 4 bars, 2 bars, 2 bars. From Bar 7, the second marimba timing is progressively extended by 32nd note, 16th note, 8th note, then again from the original timing, progressively extended at Bar 39 by a 32nd note, 16th note and 8th note. Then from bar 55 to the end of piece, the original timing is extended by a 32nd note.

Notes: Simple duet played in a Cathedral (or another acoustic venue) so that the interplay of the acoustics from the notes is heard from the two instruments, which are located at opposite sides of the venue, with the listeners in the middle.

Notes: A short piece in which each instrument at some point carries a new but complementary melody so that a single instrument does not carry the melody throughout the piece.

Notes: Composed for fun, a piece that makes use of complex syncopated rhythms.

Notes: Memories of a weary commute home after a long day at work; crowded train carriages, occasional stops for passengers to get off and more to get on, everyone with their heads bowed, nobody talking.

Notes: Looking out the wall-sized windows of my 5th floor office down on the vehicle and pedestrian traffic at a major intersection in the city at 7am and watching the craziness of people, cars, motorbikes and bicycles as people rush to get to work.
